Founded by Wayne Braden, Gasworks was built on a vision to bring highly specialised skills and technical excellence to Australia’s gas industry.

From the outset, Wayne and his team earned recognition for their ability to deliver safe, innovative, and reliable gas solutions, completing major projects for clients such as the Brisbane Elgas Supply Depot, Movie World theatrical effects and stunt show, Bechtel-Curtis Island LNG site, Santos sites, QLD Fire Department Training Academy and the ANZAC Eternal Flame in Brisbane.

Gasworks is founded by Wayne Braden to provide specialist gas expertise for industrial projects in South-East Queensland. Working on Gas Network theatrics including movie sets theme parks as well as large Commercial infrastructure projects.
Gasworks also carried out works on Air Force Bases for live fire training exercise exercises.

Delivers landmark projects for Allgas, Sea World, and Movie World, establishing a reputation for technical excellence and reliability. Several large installations for undertaken for LPG depots and major projects.

Expands into the residential housing boom, employing over 110 staff and providing essential gas connections to thousands of new homes across South-East Queensland.

Broadened capabilities through major commercial and industrial gas projects.
Key highlights include the ELGAS Brisbane LPG Depot, delivered as a turnkey solution with safe decommissioning and new system installation, completed on time and on budget, and the Curtis Island LNG Facility (Contractor Unit 20), where Gasworks managed certification, approvals, and installation across all three sites over a four-year period.

Gasworks maintains long-standing partnerships with major organisations including Queensland Health, QLD Fire Department, Bechtel Australia, Elgas, and APA Group.
The company has designed and manufactured specialised gas burner systems for bitumen trailers, including a fully in-house LPG liquid burner, and has served as a maintenance agent for Bosch hot water systems and other leading brands.
Gasworks also provides ongoing maintenance services across Queensland, ensuring reliability and compliance for a wide range of clients.

Executes a strategic pivot back to major projects, focusing on industrial, commercial, and specialist applications as the housing market transitions away from gas. Gasworks also developed its own range of Live Fire Training devices in-house.

Recognised as a leader in live fire training devices, safety audits, compliance, and maintenance services, Gasworks delivers projects across multiple industries in Australia and abroad for a range of manufacturers and gas companies. The team has also supported investigative work, providing detailed reports for Workplace Health and Safety and other regulatory agencies.
